Terentenergy (2017-2018)
Overview
Our turnkey project aimed to produce clean energy; therefore, it helped fight climate change. Our team went to Terenten, Italy, to build a complete wood gasification plant for our client Terentenergy. The project was all about turning waste into energy. This happens because our wood gasification plants use wood that would become waste to generate electrical and thermal energy. Paul Trenkwalder, the Project Manager, explained how inspiring it is for him to find a better option for the waste wood instead of burning it and releasing greenhouse gases.
Results
In less than a year, our team was capable of finishing the commissioning on time and delivering a complete operating wood gasification plant with 200 KWel and 350 KWth output. The plant operates on Italian grants for green energy, and it’s only allowed to use wood as feedstock. An important aspect is that our client is able to constantly measure CO2 emissions to ensure minimum impact on the environment.
