We at Christof Industries believe that it’s key to act now to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. To ensure this, we developed our sustainability strategy in 2019, which enables us to implement a more focused and impactful ESG programme that maximises the value we bring to our stakeholders.
Biodiesel Plant Eemshaven
Biodiesel is a biodegradable energy source made of animal fats and plant oils, and usually, it can be used in conventional diesel engines. Studies show that biodiesel reduces net carbon dioxide emissions by 78%. The best way to produce it is by using cooking oil. This way, we work on two issues at the same time. We recycle used cooking oil while producing clean fuel. Christof Industries helped to build, and later to upgrade a biodiesel plant in the Netherlands. We managed to increase the production of biodiesel made from cooking oil by 142%.
