J. Christof E&P Services has incorporated into the complex range of industrial services for the field of rotating and static equipment the specific services of predictive maintenance for this type of machinery by establishing a Predictive Maintenance Laboratory.
Our goal is to give our clients the support they need in order to evaluate the condition of their equipment through periodical and continuous monitoring of operating parameters, which in turn will allow the proper planning of maintenance interventions, avoiding emergency shutdowns for the equipment and significantly reducing downtimes.
There are two situations regarding the dynamic equipment maintenance when measuring vibrations:
periodical checks of operating conditions over planned routes;
spot measuring during troubleshooting analysis for solving current problems with the equipment.
In the second case the measurement are meant to determine the causes of machine malfunction and to help in choosing the methods for repairs.
Vibration by itself is undesirable and is one of the first indicators of internal defects, allowing the operator to predict evolving problems with rotating equipment. In both the situations mentioned above, monitoring and spot measurement, specialized instruments are available for data preservation and further analysis of machine performance.
