Scope of delivery and service

• Assembly of two pieces of LuVo (preheater according to the Ljungström principle) with a weight of 940 t, a diameter of ca. 21 m and a height of 7 m each
• Preassembly into lifting units, lifting and final assembly at more than 28 m

Commissioned by EON Netherlands, Hitachi Power Europe is constructing a “Power Train” for the power plant Maasvlakte with 1,100 MW.

Highlight

• Delivery of the LuVo parts in predefined sizes for truck transport, a 750-ton crawler crane for the lifting works at a height of more than 28.5 m
• Difficult wind and weather conditions
• Strict security guidelines in the Netherlands
• Low tolerance of the building components
