A promising perspective for the Styrian economy. Christof Industries is constructing an ultra-modern coal-fired power plant in Pakistan, with the technology group ANDRITZ supplying the coal-fired circulating fluidized bed boiler meeting the latest technological standards. For Johann Christof this major order with a volume of over 40 million euros is proof of the impressive performance of the local plant engineer.
“With this order, we demonstrate the great performance potential of our company on the global market”
The project comprises the delivery of a highly efficient coal-fired power plant to Pakistan which complies with the latest European standards and emission values. The delivery comprises the steam turbine generator set including supporting and ancillary plants for the creation of electricity and process steam for an existing polyester fibre factory near Faisalabad in Pakistan.
In close cooperation with our technological partner ANDRITZ, we deliver the main components consisting of a circulating fluidized bed boiler, the coaling- and flue gas cleaning plant, the steam turbine generator set, connecting pipelines, the cooling water system, the decoupling control for process steam as well as the entire electrical and control engineering. The scope of delivery by ANDRITZ also includes planning, documentation, delivery as well as installation and commissioning supervision of the PowerFluid fluidized bed boiler (steam production: 80 t/h).
Johann Christof is optimistic that this large order will not remain an individual case: “We have very close and good contact with our customers and I am convinced that the future will hold yet several good business opportunities for Austrian companies in Pakistan.”
