Christof Industries has successfully completed its scope of work at the Rompetrol Petromidia Năvodari and Vega Ploiești shutdown in Romania — achieving zero incidents, zero near misses, and earning three safety awards during the shutdown.
With 127 people on site, including subcontractors, our team delivered a comprehensive mechanical maintenance and repair campaign across process units. The work covered static and rotating equipment, ISCIR-certified pressure testing of vessels, heat exchangers and pipelines, welding repairs, valve servicing, and rotating equipment overhauls. The full scope was delivered on time and to the highest technical standards.
Our client recognised this performance with three safety awards during the shutdown — a result that reflects the way we worked throughout the project.
A fully integrated Christof Industries team made this possible, covering every critical function on site: HSSE, safety support, dynamic equipment, valve maintenance and safety valves, crane operations, site coordination, quality control, engineering, fabrication, procurement, warehouse and logistics, commercial management, and planning. From day one to completion, each team member contributed with professionalism, ownership, and discipline.
In a complex, multi-contractor environment like a major refinery shutdown, a strong safety record and consistent execution do not happen by chance. They are the outcome of thorough preparation, a strong safety culture, and people who take responsibility for their role, regardless of where they sit in the project structure.
At Christof Industries, occupational health and safety is not a project requirement — it is how we work. It is embedded in our planning, our site management and our team culture across every project we deliver globally.
