The research section “Renewable Materials Processing” at the Montan University Leoben has been chosen to carry out the research projects “ReNOx 2.0” and “Bio-HTL”, worth a total of 1.6 million euros. Christof Industries is a partner for both projects.
The ReNOx 2.0 project is a continuation of the successful first-generation “ReNOx” project, which developed a technique for recovering nitrogen at municipal sewage treatment plants. The successor project will refine this technique and expand its possible applications. The bridge project “Bio-HTL” will conduct research on a method for deriving a renewable base product for crude oil refining (biocrude).
