Plasma technology provides the groundwork for a significant element of the Christof Industries Zero Waste Concepts. We conceptualise, plan and apply this technology downstream from production/incineration units that generate dangerous/hazardous waste streams from melting/gasification/evaporation processes (toxic industrial waste, air-borne ash and ash on the ground, dust, etc.). The streams are converted into a mineral aggregate and hydrochloric acid. Both can be further processed in facilities producing either materials destined for the construction industry or chlorine without harming the environment.
This means that not only are significant quantities of secondary waste and associated costs avoided, but also that new resources are produced that can either be further processed or sold.
Plasma Technology
Advantages:
Reducing and treating electronics and/or hazardous waste
Recovering valuable materials
Reduction of hazardous waste landfilling & transportation costs
Generating revenue with inert aggregates and precious metals
Pure hydrochloric acid used in own plants or sold to commercial partners
Reusable NaCl & KCl recovered during gas treatment
