Biomass Gasification: Energy from Nature
The technology concentrates on decentralised compact systems and processes for generating electrical and thermal energy from dried wood chips. Dried wood chips are converted via a thermo-chemical combustion processes with three phases (pyrolysis, oxidation, reduction) into fuel gas. The fuel gas is almost pure in consistency and therefore avoids tar. The process converts dried woodchips into electricity and heat, commonly in the form of: electricity for public consumption and heat for district heating networks.
