It’s our first post of the year, and to get 2022 started with good vibes, let’s talk about successful stories and employee recognition. In our online event in December, we held our CI Globe Award ceremony, where we gave recognition to some of our team members that showed extraordinary dedication and achievements throughout 2021. We also wanted to take the opportunity to reinforce our sustainability values by giving to every winner a tree from the forest we have recently started to plant via Treedom. The winners can pick out the tree they want from Tanzania, Kenya, Nepal, or Colombia, follow the whole tree development, and even see it in real-time.
Employee Recognition Categories and Winners
Now, let’s learn more about the categories and the winners!
Outstanding Project
Outstanding Project is our category that awards individuals and teams that ensure the success of projects even in challenging circumstances. Our winners were Siegfried Söll from Austria and Jan Muzik from our team in the Czech Republic. Siegfried and the team successfully resolved a challenge that we had in a project in Germany, and were able to deliver everything in time and as expected! Jan and his team had to deal with COVID-19 restrictions and the complexity of a big project, but this wasn’t a problem for them.
Hidden Champion
Hidden Champion gives recognition to the people who are natural institutions but do not usually stand in the spotlight. This year we had 4 hidden champions.
-
- Anca Filip, our head of the legal department in Romania, is able to deliver excellent work even in very complex situations.
- Pavel Tomek, one of our project managers from our team in the Czech Republic, manages several different challenging projects, always showing commitment and dedication.
- Ksenija Sazhina is one of the most motivated team members of our legal department in Russia.
- Erik Hoyer from Austria always motivates his team with his expertise, accuracy, and dedication while always keeping up with good humor.
Safety Advocate
Safety Advocate is about an individual or team that goes out of their way to ensure their co-workers’ health and safety and helps us reach our most important target: zero incidents. Maik Weise from our team in Germany won this award for not only being involved in the construction sites and taking care of the installation teams but also for being available to the team as an advisor for the workers’ council.
Sustainability Hero
Sustainability Hero awards an individual or a team who helps us achieve our sustainability goals through their projects, innovations, or day-to-day actions. Our Innovation Unit in China got this award. Designers, process engineers, and financial experts made it possible for our team in China to apply 8 innovation ideals in local government!
New Talent
New Talent, as you can imagine, puts the spotlight on the next generation of Christof Industries. The award goes out to an extraordinarily passionate individual who has internalised the values of our company and consistently strives to implement them. Robert Stelian Chirca from our Serbian team won the award. He joined the team only 6 months ago and already shows total commitment and proactiveness.
Inhouse Champion
Inhouse Champion awards those who make our days a little easier; they help wherever they can and light up any workplace. With this award, our teams can thank their favourite colleagues for their constant inspiration. Denis Harambasic, an onsite assistant in mechanical erection from our Austrian team, was the chosen one this year. We all thank him for being so kind and reliable. He is always ready to help and shows great dedication to his work.
