Today, Christof Industries has around 2200 employees and is at work around the globe. The origins of our group of companies however lie in a family-run company founded over 50 years ago in the Austrian province of Styria. In 1988, Johann Christof then founded the J. Christof GmbH, laying the foundations for what is now Christof Industries. Johann Christof pursued an active growth strategy, continually expanding the range of services that the company offered in the field of industrial plant construction by buying stakes in, or taking over completely, complementary service providers at home and abroad.
The group of companies assembled under the banner of Christof Industries is now in a position to offer its customers collective expertise that is derived from the special know-how of both individual companies within the group and of their subsidiaries. Christof Project, doubrava Industrieanlagenbau and FMT Ferro Technik as well as the Austrian, East European, British and Canadian companies that are part of the Christof Industries group have already notched up 4500 successfully implemented projects in industrial plant construction and industrial services.
In addition to the development, construction and forward-looking upkeep of industrial plants, a further significant element of the Christof Industries portfolio are its services in energy and environmental technology, which have a clear focus on renewable energy. Efficient and low-impact processes for reusing waste products to produce thermal energy – known as “waste to energy” – have been yet another key component of the company’s portfolio for more than 10 years.
